Hi there, Have you ever drunk Japanese Sake?

It is A golden opportunity to take it, if you are in Japan now!
or if you are planning to travel in Japan.
I’d love you guys to try drinking Sake, Japanese Sake.

In my opinion, the best thing you do while traveling is 「An experience」
Shopping? Visiting famous places? That is OK, but the best thing is an experience.

Actually, I have traveled over 20 countries and I realized one thing.
When I’ve been in Paris, visited the Eiffel tower, yes that’s ok.
In New York, visited the statue of the liberty, yes.
In Cebu the Philippines, the magellan’s cross, yes.

But.. Is that really important thing in foreign country I can seldom come to?
No.

I assure the best thing is not those things above.

An experience

Talking to local people together with a local beer, or local foods.
As a result, I still have remembered the people, expressions, taste of the beer, atmosphere, accent, sharing ideas.
Those are beautiful memories and one reason I can’t stop traveling in the world.

I always recommend meeting local people and local peculiar things, when people ask me about tips for a travel.
That’s why I’d love to recommend drinking Sake in Japan with local people or travel friends. And if circumstances allow, know about cultures like Sake.

Sake

is a Japanese rice wine made by fermenting rice that has been polished to remove the bran.Technically, sake is not a wine at all.

When should I drink Sake

Now. Now or never.
Don’t think, feel as it is.
I think telling you about details of Sake is not interesting.
Less explanation, the better.
All I want to tell you is just enjoy drinking Sake directly and feel.

You would search whenever you want after drinking, if you were interested in Sake more.
There are many things you can learn about Sake( the history, how is sake made, Junmai-daiginjo, Ginjo, Yamahai etc… )

By the way, Can you imagine how many sakes exist in Japan?
More than 20,000!!!

I see, you thought oh how can I choose sake from those kinds of sakes, oh…

No worries, I would recommend some good sake restaurants in Tokyo Japan.( I am afraid only in Tokyo )
And when you sit a chair there, just say

Sake, Sake please( I desperately need sake, sake at will )

That english is understandable for Japanese who are commonly not good at speaking english( Sadly it’s true, as you can see my english )

That’s all, and the staff would choose sake for you. If you are in a good mood, tell them your favorite taste, dry or sweet, sparkling etc.. that information would help the staff to choose the best sake for you.

Keep in mind when drinking Sake

Water.
You should drink water, so-called「Yawaragi-water」which is chaser.
Sake’s alcohol percentage is 15% on average almost same as wines.
So I recommend drinking Yawaragi-water at times, OK?

This is not very important though, If you said Can I have Yawaragi-mizu( Yawaragi-water ), I’m sure the staff is going to be surprised, like oh! how do you know that! cool! or something like that, try it if you want.

If you don’t have time going to Japan

Never mind, an another option.
The best way is drinking directly though, you can buy them from where you are now.

Also it would be a good souvenir when you go back to your country.

A unique opportunity is coming to you.

Have a nice trip!
